PS The woman interviewed by Fox said today on Russian television that when they came to US they seen a video of burning city on TV (CNN) and it was said that it's Gori bombed by Russians, but shockingly it was Tskhinvaly shelled by Georgians. I also read somewhere (I read a lot past few days and I don't bookmark everything) that the operator who shot the video returned from Ossetia (BTW he's a Russian reporter) and he said the same.

Although the city was not "completely leveled" (like Stalingrad or Dresden in WW2) as it was reported by Ossetian officials, it is definitely heavily damaged. According to report, 10% of buildings were destroyed completely and 20% severely damaged. Other buildings have minor damage - no glass, shell-splinters and etc. With help of Russian builders people will be able to return to their houses soon enough.

Estimation of from 1400 to 2000 killed civilians seems to be correct so far.
