How to Install and Configure VNC on Ubuntu 18.04

Hint: after each editing /etc/systemd/system/vncserver@.service do both commands:

sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl restart vncserver@1.service

A hint for applying your .profile in the VNC server (make sure to set xstartup interpeter to /usr/bin/bash).

Ubuntu 11.10 Distro Upgrade Oops

Yesterday I was upgrading a computer from Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric) Linux to 12.04 and 'sudo do-release-upgrade' was crashing with an error message in the script.
To make it update to 12.04 simply remove the 'print' statement from lines 91-92 in /usr/bin/do-release-upgrade and run it again.
